I'm chatting with Andrea Liebross, a business and life coach specializing in working with unapologetically ambitious women entrepreneurs from a variety of industries. A speaker and host of the Time to Level Up podcast, Andrea guides her clients to combine Big Thinking with solid systems that work together to unleash their success and find the freedom of time, money, and energy they crave. She is excited about the release of her book She Thinks Big: The Female Entrepreneur’s Guide to Moving Past the Messy Middle and into the Extraordinary in the fall.

Thinking big is a skill. And if you're going to think big, you've got to change something.

When it comes to thinking big, there are four things you can do to get out of your fear:

1. Consider your thought options. All thoughts are actually optional. What we think is going to drive how we feel and respond. As a business owner, it's so important to realize you have choices.

2. Target the real problem. If we're thinking small, we're usually attaching a lot of backstory to our current thinking. Andrea explains that 99% of the time, the only problem is that we don't want to experience negative feelings. If we think about what the worst is that can happen, we can shift our mindset. What are we expecting will happen? How can we shift our expectations and flip the script?

3. Embrace ambiguity. Uncertainty is real. You can chose to be in a state of fear around that, but once you realize ambiguity and uncertainty are certain, you can embrace them. We will never have all of the information. Oftentimes, we delay taking action because we don't have all the facts. But we have move forward knowing there will always be ambiguity.

4. Seek support. If you're trying to move past small thinking and into the world of big thinking, you need to seek support. Be extraordinarily committed to what you're good at doing and get support where you need it.

There's a difference between being interested and being committed. There's a difference between being attached to the idea of what "it" should look like and the idea of doing whatever it takes. Big thinkers are incredibly committed to what they want to achieve.
