The Secret to Keeping Up with Social Media

by Emily Avdem Nelson

Want to know the secret to keeping up with posting on social media?!⠀ ⠀

Reuse your content. Yep, I said it. Reuse content. ⠀

If your content is full of quality and has a strong message, it should be shared more than once!

Think of it this way: if you get 20 followers after a post, have they seen it? Probably not. So, it’s definitely worth sharing again. ⠀

Also, once you’ve shared multiple posts, the older posts get buried. Most of the time, people won’t even notice you’ve posted the content before.⠀

Here are a few more reasons why it's worth repurposing content:

  1. It may take someone a couple of times to understand what you're sharing (some people may like video and others may like graphics).
  2. Customers may need to see something multiple times before they convert. ⠀

Don’t go crazy trying to produce high-quality content ALL the time. Reuse the good content because everyone should see it! ⠀

You have some options for repurposing content:

  • copy and paste it all
  • copy and paste just the caption but use a new graphic, reel, photo
  • use the exact same reel/photo/graphic but create a new caption
  • make a blog post/email/guide into a social media post
  • make a social media post into a blog post, email, or guide
  • make a caption into a reel
  • make a reel into a caption
  • make a reel into a graphic
  • make a graphic into a caption ⠀

You can always switch out a few things, like hooks, CTAs, hashtags, and audio, to spruce it up, too!
